Fairtrade
Laura Ashley this season have launched a dedicated new range of gorgeous, comfortable t-shirts in support of Fairtrade. These are made from Fairtrade cotton sourced from Cameroon via the Fairtrade organisation.
The impact of Fairtrade touches the lives of around 60,000 people in Cameroon. Farmers are paid 30% more for their Fairtrade cotton and they receive an additional premium to invest in community projects.
The t-shirts on offer come in a range of colours varying from white to red and luscious green, so you'll be spoilt for choice!
PRINTS, PRINTS, PRINTS
It's summer, so it's time to get noticed! And there's no better way, than prints. Be they small and understated or big and bold!
Laura Ashley, who are well known for prints, have many to suit your taste, be they in skirts, dresses or blouses. And with the second hit of the Archive Range this season, you'll be wearing vintage prints unavailable anywhere else that have been updated into contemporary looks. And all on Organic Cotton bases, so you'll be eco-friendly too!
Try the Tile Print Halterneck Maxi dress, very sophisticated, yet casual. The Patchwork Smock Top is perfect for all ages.
Finally, the Motif Print Panelled Skirt can be worn with either a jersey top
or a cute blouse.
It's not just your food you should be concerned about being organic.
Your wardrobe can do it's bit for the environment too.
Did you know that to cultivate enough cotton for one T-Shirt requires roughly 150g of pesticide according to the Pesticide Action Network (PAN)?
Currently Organic Cotton accounts for 0.15% of the world's cotton (PAN). Let's try to improve this! Our Organic Tree Print T-shirt is not just eco-friendly, but a beautiful feminine piece to be worn with any pair of jeans. And the entire Archive range is also organic, so there's plenty to choose from. The Frill Neck Maxi Dress in Grape and the Drawstring Halterneck
are to name but a few. With the variety of shapes and lengths, there's something for women of all different heights and shapes.

Longline Large Collar Coat
If it's a new coat you desire this season, it must be a Camel coat. We love this longline, wool and cashmere style with large turn back collar. This huge trend for Autumn/Winter was sparked from the desire for classic investment pieces to get your money's worth, instead of throw-away-fashion. A timeless piece that just won't go out of style, so turn up that collar and team with brown, high-heel boots and sunglasses for effortless chic.
