Laura Ashley is well known for two distinctive styles of rug.

We are proud to announce that all Indian made Laura Ashley rugs are registered with RugMark, a global non-profit organisation that works towards stamping out illegal child labour and adult slave labour in the Indian rug industry.
The rug industry is vital to the economy of India, providing much needed employment and foreign income. RugMark is designed to give consumers the confidence to buy a beautiful hand-made rug, woven in ethical conditions by fairly paid adults, without the fear their purchase has been made by illegal child labourers. In addition to selling RugMark accredited rugs, Laura Ashley is also delighted to be donating 1% of the cost price for each of its Indian rugs to RugMark.
RugMark funds are used to run welfare programmes, including schools, rehabilitation centres and support programmes. Since its creation in 1995, RugMark has helped remove more than 3,000 children from slave labour, providing them with an education and hope for the future.
