This richly coloured re-colouration of our popular velvet Nigella has already proven a big hit. This large, value for money 50x50 cushion with tonal piping is a great sofa staple and very comfortable.
The star of the Norfolk story is the Britannia cushion which is a stylish chain stitched union jack flag in fresh tones of duck egg and eau de nil. The Hannah is a stylish knitted throw with a distinctive geometric design in duck egg tones and finished with natural tonal tassels. This is soft to the touch and perfect for snuggling up on those cold winter nights.
The Lawler is an oval soft and sumptuous shaggy rug in natural and off white tones. This rug has a great sheen and provides a glamorous element to your home. This oval shape is also very popular on the high street right now.
The Hagan is a 100% cotton, classically simple woven check cushion in duck egg hues with fringing detail on the front. This is a cushion that provides comfort as well as style and will look good on any sofa. Also to match this is the Hagan throw in cranberry tones.
Soft Furnishings
Spring is the season we all look forward to, sprouting buds, blossoming flowers, longer days and hopefully a little bit of sunshine to bring the warmth back into our homes.
It is also the perfect time to brighten up your home with fresh and pretty soft furnishings to lift your mood and leave you feeling inspired.
As the doom and gloom prevails one way to cheer yourself up is to add some colour into your home. Entertaining your friends and spending time with your family, after all, staying in is the new going out!
As always Laura Ashley brings you gorgeous design, great value and good quality and this Spring is no exception. We have highlighted a few of our favourite soft furnishings for this Spring/Summer 2009. From Vintage Memento we revive memories of the past to create a relaxed, imaginative interior scheme, a place to call your own. Making use of marshmallow pink, buttermilk and off white.
Our first pick is the Grace cushion, a delicate floral print on 100% silk. This cushion is reminiscent of a vintage printed scarf of the Laura Ashley days gone by. The pretty vintage velvet trim and print covered floral buttons on the reverse make this cushion a perfect purchase for nesting at home.
Also new and proving to be the piece de resistance is our Cordelia a small square cushion crammed with silk ribbon flowers in contrasting blues with bead detail embellishment. The cool duck egg and eau de nil colours are typical of the Laura Ashley colour palette that works so well.
The third co-ordinating cushion from this story is Henrietta our beautiful rectangular cushion that has pretty flowers and butterflies that wrap around the front and reverse of the cushion. To have a butterfly flutter by on a spring afternoon is what is all about.

Autumn nights
As the night's are suddenly drawing in and the heating is getting switched back on you may wish to add an additional layer to your bed in the form of one of the many beautiful bedspreads on offer at Laura Ashley
We offer a wide range of different styles and sizes to suit every taste from elaborately embellished designs to simple 100% cotton quilted simple designs.
If your looking to add some glamour choose from our best selling Mia design with beaded trim available in 10 different colours or Arabella, a rich velvet devore design in shades of pewter and taupe. For a simple elegant look there is the Kayleigh with mother of peal detail available in champagne or eau de nil, Thomosina, a 100% silk soft taupe quilted design, and Rebecca, a 100% silk striped design in cerise pink or duck egg blue.
If your preference is for a more casual look then the Newlyn quilt could be the perfect choice for you. Super soft 100% cotton with intricate quilting in soft duck egg blue. New this season also are our blankets; Coniston is a cable knit lambswool mix in pretty pale blue and Croyde is a soft off white and blue check design. Beautiful table lamps are like jewellery in a room and should be chosen carefully so their style and size complements your home and scheme.
For best results team the Louis Glass Urn base with a simple square fenn lampshade to match the rooms mood. For a prettier appeal take the Keira glass light base and highlight with a beaded lamp shade.
If it is pure elegance you want to achieve try putting the Corey acrylic lighting base either side of your sofa to add instant class.
