WALLPAPER BOXES
You will need:
Wallpaper offcuts
PVA glue
Ribbon
1 To make a small wallpaper box, cut a 21cm square of wallpaper. On the reverse side use a pencil to draw a diagonal between two opposite corners; repeat to draw a second diagonal between the two remaining corners.
2 Fold each corner into the central point where the two pencil lines meet and make crisp folds. Then fold two opposite sides in so they meet at the same centre point, again making crisp folds. Repeat with the remaining opposite sides.
3 Open out the four folded edges and make four cuts in the wallpaper (see below).
4 Assemble the box by folding in two adjacent cut sections and sandwiching them between the pointed flap (see above). Repeat with the remaining two cut sections and secure the pointed flaps to the base of the box with a blob of glue under each pointed end.
5 To make the lid, repeat steps 1 to 4, this time starting with a 22cm square of wallpaper.
6 The larger boxes require a little more stability, so recycle old boxes and cover in wallpaper as if wrapping a present.
7 Add a pretty ribbon bow to finish.
